The Middle East is a region where cars and truck is king and fuel is low-cost, typically leaving little reward to discover more environmentally-friendly ways of walking around.

But this year, as demonstrations throughout the Middle East have actually risen the rate of oil, the problem of discovering alternative sources of fuel has entered sharp focus.

In a region that has among the greatest carbon footprints worldwide, one service is making the most of the growing pressure to discover alternatives to oil. It's the Middle East's very first scheme to recycle cooking oil into biodiesel. It's proving profitable too, already their client-list consists of McDonald's.
